In an old miscellaneous store in Okinawa in Japan, I found these two rectangular and round brass plates. Given their small size, they are suited to be placed at the working desk for holding small items. I have also thought of using it as an incense plate. The longer time the brass is exposed to air, the more obvious the effects of oxidization will be. It will acquire an appealing new appearance and texture after being used for months and years.

在沖繩的老雜貨店裡，找到這兩隻方形、圓形的黃銅碟子。碟子的體積小巧，很適合安放在案頭上以盛載小物，此外也想過它來作燃點線香的碟子。黃銅與空氣接觸時間愈長，氧化的效果會愈明顯，經年月使用後，會有討喜的面貌質感。
