Color of abundance #4: Small flat spoon made of brass
I found this flat spoon at a miscellaneous store in Okayama prefecture in Japan. Being small and exquisite, the spoon is best suited for dessert. Japanese artisans are always known for their fine and delicate craftsmanship. Nevertheless, the artisans who crafted this spoon deliberately left behind traces of their work including holes and scratches on its surface, which radiate a kind of “usage beauty” attuned to daily life.
Note: two pieces in total, can be purchased separately.
